BEFORE:
The client is a renowned chef of Japanese cuisine. He approached us because he wanted to design a 360-degree experience for a new restaurant located in Panama with a Nikkei cuisine style.
AFTER:
We created Henko.
Henko or へんこう (Japanese) refers to a transformative change from which there is no return. It represents a significant advancement in our growth and proof that we are capable of betting on ourselves. It is about having the ability to transform, evolve, advance, and expand the level of consciousness.
We designed a 360° Umami experience:
Umami in Japanese means "essence of delight," the fifth taste along with sweet, sour, bitter, and salty. At Henko, umami as a concept and sensation means experiencing all sensations in one place, living the surprise and pleasure integrated into every aspect of a restaurant. At Henko, nothing is left to chance. Every detail is meticulously thought out to provide diners with a kinesthetic, multisensory experience where all senses are stimulated to create unforgettable sensations. From the façade, the place invites discovery with a play of lights and textures.
Upon entering, the layout, a color palette derived from Japanese porcelain, the furniture, natural fibers, and the arrangement of the space recreate nature and give way to the Visual Experience, where the service and Japanese ceramics play a fundamental role in the table setting.
In the Sensory Experience, the Nikkei menu combines the influence of Japanese cuisine on Peruvian gastronomy with an unexpected twist using innovative molecular cooking techniques, Yakiniku grills, Yakitori, and Teppanyaki, which fill the space with delicious aromas. Additionally, the furniture features exclusive materials with different textures that invite touch.
To conclude, we created an Auditory Experience with an extensive musical selection that creates a distinctive atmosphere, enhancing the diners' visit.
